About Cocora
Our story
Cocora is named after the Cocora valley in the Andes mountains in Colombia. In this beautiful valley grows the wax palm: the tallest palm species in the world and also the national tree of Colombia. For us, this place symbolises enjoyment, enjoying life and beautiful nature.
Nowadays, the hectic pace of life often gets in the way of enjoyment. We want more, faster, better, more beautiful. This not only causes stress, but also comes at the expense of our planet. For instance, a lot of nature, including the unique wax palm, is in danger of disappearing as a result of climate change.
Cocora - Enjoy Together
Sustainable enjoyment
With Cocora, we therefore want to encourage people to enjoy more consciously. Thus, we work with local, sustainable partners and want to avoid as much damage and waste as possible. With that reason, our:
- straws and cocktail sticks reusable;
- packaging made of FCS-certified cardboard;
- spices and coffee beans 100% organic;
- and bar accessories made of high-quality stainless steel to last for years.
1 set = 1 tree
We plant one tree per set so that we can continue to enjoy gems like the wax palm in the future. This way, we offset more CO₂ than we emit and, together with you, make our planet a little greener! Want to know where your tree was planted? Then go to our profiel from our partner, Regreener.
